Hey fellow bloggers!
As you know, Halloween was this weekend, and well, I had a really good one this year! I dressed up as a nerd..go figure, right? heh I went to two parties. The Longmeadow dorms hosted a huge Halloween bash, complete with a band as well as a movie marathon in the Clubhouse. The other party was hosted by my friend Sarah at her place. What a way to end the month of October! :)
School is going really well. I've had a midterm in both Theater and Chemistry. I got an A on my chem exam. I was SO happy! It was pretty tough, to say the least. As an off-handed comment, I really like my theater class. We're learning about the history of theater, like how long ago it was performed and how it has changed into the theater we know today. Because I had danced for so many years, I already knew a lot about theater, or at least I was familiar with some of the history/terms. Dr. Brandesky makes it interesting and fun, so that is a definite plus. I hope that when I become a professor, which most likely won't be for a while :(, I can make my class fun. Sometimes biology isn't the most interesting subject, but I will make it my goal to lighten it up. I want to share my passion; I honestly think that's what makes a good teacher.
Right now, I'm going to work on my Spanish project. My professor gave us all a Spanish newspaper that's published in Columbus, and we have to answer certain questions about it. I actually didn't know there was an entire Spanish paper that goes through Cbus, but I guess that doesn't really surprise me.
Have a good evening, everyone!
Megan
PS: The Presidential Election is on Tuesday. I know who I am voting for and so should you!

O H..
Hey everyone! It's been a while...but school has finally started!
I couldn't be more excited!
I'm taking Chemistry 121, Spanish 104, and Theater 100. So far, I really love my classes! My professors are really nice, and the classes themselves are interesting. Chemistry is going to be slightly rough, but I know I can get through it. I actually know A LOT of students in that class! I met a majority of them this summer..lol
Campin' On The Quad went really well! I didn't get a chance to go to it last year, but I am so glad I got to go this year. I didn't realize what a great way it was to meet people! My counselors kept those kids busy with activities all day...
Right now, I'm making plans to go to Kings Island on Saturday with some friends for Fearfest. I am super excited!
Time to do some studying... :(
later on!

hey everyone! i hope you're enjoying your summers :)
school starts in approximately 19 days! are you getting excited? i know i am!
i have been SUPER busy this summer...as you can tell because it's taken me longer than a month to blog! lol
just to touch on the last post, grace's wedding was absolutely beautiful! i am so happy for her and justin!
but since then, my life has consisted of work, work, play, and work. between campus and mcdonalds, i hardly have time to breathe!
the spy trips we went on for the admissions office went really well! we went to 13 schools total, if i remember correctly. each school had something special about it, and that helped us think of ways to approve our office as well as our campus tours, etc.. i anticipate GOOD change in the office for this year!! :)
i've been trying to hang out with friends as much as possible, although sometimes it's only for an hour or so. one of my friends just got an apartment in lima, right across the street from campus, and after work the other night, her and i, along with my friend jess, got chinese and watched a movie called Derailed. the movie was insane! if you have never seen it, i HIGHLY reccommend it! seriously..lol it's crazy! also, it was nice just hanging out, talking and having a girls' night :)
last wednesday, i participated in something that i had never done before: a high ropes course. wednesday was training day, and sara, our boss on campus, took all the student assistants there for peer bonding. it was so much fun! i don't know if you know anything about a high ropes course..but..you have a harness around your waist along with caribeeners (i know i spelled that wrong) attached to ropes. you dangle from these ropes 3 stories from the ground. you go through different rope obstacle courses, using your caribeeners/rope lines. and wow. you learn a lot about yourself! it takes teamwork to do these courses, but in the end, you are responsible to get yourself through the course. i have more confidence, along with some sweet looking bruises..hehe we also went bowling after the high ropes course...is there a better way to train?!
it's time for me to get going...i'm going out tonight with a few new friends from Sidney. we're going to Wright State to watch the Sidney football game (not quite sure why!) and then we're going to go hang out with some of their friends. i'm pretty excited! i love meeting new people :)
oh, and i looked at my books the other day to see what damage is going to be done to my checking account...my chemistry book comes with 3-d glasses....help?! lol
have a lovely evening!
later on! :)

over a month left...and counting!
i hate to admit it, but i'm sorta kinda looking forward for school to start...
i love the lack of routine summer has, but i also look the routine of school. knowing what to expect every day. but obviously, life has its ups and downs..
for instance, i was sick all last week. i thought i had mono, but luckily, it was just a false alarm. i had never had pain in my throat/neck like that before. it felt like someone was squeezing onto my neck and holding on for dear life.
sleeping 12 hours for two days seemed to cure all my problems...lol
well, not all problems. i'm having some boy trouble right now..what's new? it seems like you figure out one thing then something else happens that throws you for a loop.
oh well..nothing a movie night and ice cream can't cure! :)
last wednesday, my friend jessica and i went to the Vans Warped Tour..it was AMAZING! i loved it! there were TONS of people there, most questionably dressed, but still, the bands that played were extremely talented and put on really good shows. we missed our exit on the way there and jess lost her debit card...all in all, a good day! :)
as a parting note, the spy trips are going really well! the next few weeks are packed full of exciting college visits..
AND my friend Grace is getting married next Saturday! i couldn't be happier for her and her husband to be!
well, enjoy the sun! :)

Posting nearly a month after my last blog?
I am a horrible blogger!
But I must say..I am having an amazing summer!! I am attempting to make the most out of my vacation. Granted, I do work a lot, making it seem as if I'm not on break. I'm at the university pretty much every day for telecounseling and/or other random projects my boss likes to throw my way! For the next month or so, my fellow coworkers Mandi and Neisha, along with myself, are going to be taking campus "spy trips" to schools around Ohio who are OSU's top college competitors. We will be taking the campus tours, rating them and analyzing them in comparison to our own tours. We want to make sure that we are telling prospective students everything they need to hear during their campus visits, so experiencing other tours will definitely be beneficial to our own.
As a side note, Mandi, Neisha, and I are going to be recreating the office picture board. Half the pictures up their right now are of people who don't even work in the office anymore..not cool!
On July 13th, I went to a tap convention in Dublin, Ohio. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had! It also made me realize how out of shape I am! I was given the opportunity to dance with 4 elite tappers from across the nation. By the end of the day, my feet hurt so bad, but I rediscovered my love for tap dancing! :) I can't wait to take some classes at the studio next year. Hopefully I can fit them into my schedule...
These next few weeks are going to be hectic! I have so many things planned..I can't wait!!
Later on, everyone!

Hello! How's life? Mine has been pretty hectic, but it's summertime. That is all that matters! :)
Working two jobs is pretty stressful. I have never had to keep track of two different work schedules. It definitely teaches you time managment. Between jobs, I also have to try to find time to hang out with friends and family, plus I have to worry about physical therapy. It can get pretty overwhelming, but that's life for you! I finally became a big girl and purchased a planner. So far, it's helped..but wow! lol You can only be so organized!
I got my nails done for the first time! I don't know how I feel about them yet! I had the nail artist cut them really short, and he gave me a really simple french manicure. I am not really a girly-girl, so getting my nails done was a really big step. I can't really take them off or bite them, so I'm getting used to having them look finished and nice. A big mistake I did was go bowling only hours after I got them done. Tender and sore, my nails held up pretty well, plus I met a really cute boy! :) I don't know why that is relevant to my nail story but oh well!
Yesterday, I went to Defiance with my high school friend Kristyn to spend the day with our friends Jake and Clyde at a Boy Scout Camp. Random trip? Yes. Fun? Absolutely! We went kayaking on a really quiet lake and blobbed. Never blobbed before? Me neither! The blob is that really big pillow-looking thing that sits on the water. One person jumps on and sits on the very end. Another person jumps onto the blob, sending the other person into the air. It was really fun! I got so much airtime, it's ridiculous! Oh, and I got a lot of water in my nose. I don't know about you, but I think that is one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the entire world!
Today, I am just hanging out, downloading some music and watching tv. I have to work at McDonalds at 5. It shouldn't be too bad..but I would much rather have a lazy day, all day! Ok, who wouldn't, right?
Anyways, have a good June 29th! :)

ps: I went to Cedar Point with Cody, Mandi, Neisha, and Jason! It was AMAZING! :) The End.

being an adult means working. working means money. money means spending. spending leads to more working..and the cycle continues...thus goes the summer of a college student!
i started working full-time again at mcdonalds..the reason i bring up mcdonalds is just so i can write about certain people that make my job enjoyable- the regulars. i absolutely love these people! they come into mcdonalds to eat every day, most of them middle-aged or elderly. some get only coffee, some get food (and usually the same food everytime), some get breakfast and lunch. i have a feeling, though, they don't come to mcdonalds solely because they are too lazy to make their own food or drink. they come to mcdonalds because they love the atmosphere and the people who work there. personally, it always brings a smile to my face when i see one of the regulars come in with a smile on their face knowing they are going to be surrounded by people they love. there is this one old man who is my favorite. his name is Mr. Anthony. he is the coolest old man i have ever met! he orders practically the same thing every time for himself and his wife, but every time he sees me, he never fails to say hello and ask me how school's going. there is another couple..Frank and Ruth...their names just sound good together! this couple makes an effort to get to know every employee by name.
Mcdonalds has established a kind of family within their restaurants, and I hope that wherever I work as a graduated college student that I can become a part of such a tight-knit network. Relationships like those are the kind that make life worth living, if you can help but one person and put a smile on his or her face! :)
this past monday, a few friends and i went to cedar point as a last minute trip. we had a blast! the lines weren't long at all, the weather was beautiful, and the company was second-to-none!
tomorrow is the honors orientation. that means that i will have to be at school by 7:00 a.m. it also means i am going to have to go to bed super early...hmm, it's going to be fun!
i love my new job position in the office! sara has given me more responsibility, and i'm learning a lot more about how the admissions process works..and i love working closer with neisha and grace. this year is going to be fun..i can't wait!
well, i guess i can..one step at a time! as soon as fall quarter starts, that means chemistry every day...which may make or break me.
never the less, i didn't watch Jumper lol however, i am going to go watch the first season of Friends that susie let me borrow :)
have a good evening everyone!
