Hello! How's life? Mine has been pretty hectic, but it's summertime. That is all that matters! :)
Working two jobs is pretty stressful. I have never had to keep track of two different work schedules. It definitely teaches you time managment. Between jobs, I also have to try to find time to hang out with friends and family, plus I have to worry about physical therapy. It can get pretty overwhelming, but that's life for you! I finally became a big girl and purchased a planner. So far, it's helped..but wow! lol You can only be so organized!
I got my nails done for the first time! I don't know how I feel about them yet! I had the nail artist cut them really short, and he gave me a really simple french manicure. I am not really a girly-girl, so getting my nails done was a really big step. I can't really take them off or bite them, so I'm getting used to having them look finished and nice. A big mistake I did was go bowling only hours after I got them done. Tender and sore, my nails held up pretty well, plus I met a really cute boy! :) I don't know why that is relevant to my nail story but oh well!
Yesterday, I went to Defiance with my high school friend Kristyn to spend the day with our friends Jake and Clyde at a Boy Scout Camp. Random trip? Yes. Fun? Absolutely! We went kayaking on a really quiet lake and blobbed. Never blobbed before? Me neither! The blob is that really big pillow-looking thing that sits on the water. One person jumps on and sits on the very end. Another person jumps onto the blob, sending the other person into the air. It was really fun! I got so much airtime, it's ridiculous! Oh, and I got a lot of water in my nose. I don't know about you, but I think that is one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the entire world!
Today, I am just hanging out, downloading some music and watching tv. I have to work at McDonalds at 5. It shouldn't be too bad..but I would much rather have a lazy day, all day! Ok, who wouldn't, right?
Anyways, have a good June 29th! :)
later on!

ps: I went to Cedar Point with Cody, Mandi, Neisha, and Jason! It was AMAZING! :) The End.

being an adult means working. working means money. money means spending. spending leads to more working..and the cycle continues...thus goes the summer of a college student!
i started working full-time again at mcdonalds..the reason i bring up mcdonalds is just so i can write about certain people that make my job enjoyable- the regulars. i absolutely love these people! they come into mcdonalds to eat every day, most of them middle-aged or elderly. some get only coffee, some get food (and usually the same food everytime), some get breakfast and lunch. i have a feeling, though, they don't come to mcdonalds solely because they are too lazy to make their own food or drink. they come to mcdonalds because they love the atmosphere and the people who work there. personally, it always brings a smile to my face when i see one of the regulars come in with a smile on their face knowing they are going to be surrounded by people they love. there is this one old man who is my favorite. his name is Mr. Anthony. he is the coolest old man i have ever met! he orders practically the same thing every time for himself and his wife, but every time he sees me, he never fails to say hello and ask me how school's going. there is another couple..Frank and Ruth...their names just sound good together! this couple makes an effort to get to know every employee by name.
Mcdonalds has established a kind of family within their restaurants, and I hope that wherever I work as a graduated college student that I can become a part of such a tight-knit network. Relationships like those are the kind that make life worth living, if you can help but one person and put a smile on his or her face! :)
this past monday, a few friends and i went to cedar point as a last minute trip. we had a blast! the lines weren't long at all, the weather was beautiful, and the company was second-to-none!
tomorrow is the honors orientation. that means that i will have to be at school by 7:00 a.m. it also means i am going to have to go to bed super early...hmm, it's going to be fun!
i love my new job position in the office! sara has given me more responsibility, and i'm learning a lot more about how the admissions process works..and i love working closer with neisha and grace. this year is going to be fun..i can't wait!
well, i guess i can..one step at a time! as soon as fall quarter starts, that means chemistry every day...which may make or break me.
never the less, i didn't watch Jumper lol however, i am going to go watch the first season of Friends that susie let me borrow :)
have a good evening everyone!

SUMMER TIME! :)
Hey everyone! Summer is officially here, and I couldn't be more excited!
Finals were the 1st week in June. Overall, they went really well! I was able to maintain a 3.9 gpa, which I am extremely happy about! I was starting to lose momentum towards the end of spring quarter, mainly just because it was the end...lol But none the less, I passed everything and am looking forward to a summer full of new college adventures! :)
[And unfortunately, I am going to keep my Shakespeare book..ugh.]
I applied for the Student Assistant Captain position in the Admissions Office, and I got it! :) With my newly received promotion, I am in charge of all the student assistant activities, including tours and orientations. Alongside my boss, Sara, the Telecounseling Captain, who I am proud to say is Neisha, and new Junior Counselor, Grace, we are going to make next year one of the best years ever to be a student worker at OSU! Well, hopefully...I will update you when I have more information on what we're actually planning to do in the next few months. I know that we are starting a program called "Campus Crashers," where our student assistants sign up at other campuses as prospective students, transfer students, etc. and take tours with these competitive universities. Each visits will help give us insight on what we're doing right and what we're doing wrong..but SHH! Don't tell :)
Already a few weeks into summer vacation, and I am busier than ever! I am still working at McDonalds four days a week, as well as campus four days a week plus any other days they need my service. For those of you who know me, I apologize now for my lack of an awesome summer tan. With my work schedule, I might not be able to be out in the sun as much as I would like to be. Oh well..OH! And I was finally made a Crew Trainer at McDonalds! After all the people I have trained, some of which are already positioned above me in employee status, I am going to get paid for teaching my fellow employees the mechanics of Mickey D's...yay!...lol ok ok..so maybe I'm not too excited about it, but I actually am excited about finally being recognized for something I've been doing since I've gotten hired, nearly 3 years ago...
Enough of that nonsense! I would like to end on a happier note..
The summer weather has been amazing! I have already gone swimming..in June! I think Jess and I are going to get tickets to Warped Tour this summer. I'm pretty pumped about it! I have never gone to Warped Tour before, but I heard it's lots of fun. There are going to be a lot of good bands there to watch. But, I am a little jealous of my friend who just got to see Rush in concert..I know I know. I don't know why I wasn't invited! hehe I'll have to look out for tickets so I don't miss them the next time they perform somewhere in or near Ohio...
Now I'm going to go watch Jumper...
Have a lovely evening, everyone!
